TREE OF LIFE

The Tree of Life is closely related to the concept of the sacred tree. It is believed to connect all forms of creation. Together with the Tree of Knowledge that connects heaven to underworld, the Tree of Life is found in all religions and philosophical traditions. In Hinduism is called Kalpavriksha, which grants every wish. In Judaism, it is Etz Chaim, mentioned in Genesis and Book of Proverbs. In Mesopotamia, it is related to the "plant of birth". In Kabbalah, the Tree of Life is the the central concept, being represented by ten interconnected nodes, whilst in Islam it is called the "Tree of Immortality". |
