The Evil Eye is an ancient symbol of protection. It is perhaps the Mediterranean equivalent to the Egyptian Eye of Horus. You can find this symbol in every house in Greece and Turkey. Even the Tamil Vedas (David) mentioned it as bringing good luck and stoping the strongest curse having effect.
