In Vedic philosophy, the lotus flower symbolises rebirth and eternity, whilst in Buddhism it stands for purity of mind and body. The white lotus symbolises enlightenment, the blue lotus, victory of spirit over intelligence and knowledge, whilst the pink lotus is considered the supreme of all.
