Lemuria or Mu was a mythical continent that might have existed somewhere at the east on the Pillars of Heracles, perhaps under our own New Zealand,; a continent that Plato never mentioned, but one that is described in the Tamil Kanda Purana as Kumari Kandam (deriving from the Sanskrit “Kumarika Khanda”, one of the three texts of the Tantric “Manthanabhairavatantra”) and described by the occult writer James Churchward.
